Africa

Sustainably raise the quality of life of people in Africa.

The King Baudouin Foundation supports individuals, organisations and companies that contribute to the lasting improvement of living conditions in Africa. As good neighbours and caring global citizens, we feel connected to this continent.

We are building an ever stronger presence in the countries at the centre of our efforts, so that we can spring into action effectively wherever our help is needed. Aside from financing projects, we seek to forge closer partnerships with and between local foundations. To do so, we invest in networking events, exchanges, peer-to-peer coaching and organisational development, for example.

The KBF Africa Prize is another major initiative of the Foundation. This award is handed out every two years to African organisations who contribute to lasting improvement of the lives of people in Africa.
