Employment
Better access to work and training for vulnerable groups.
Employment opportunities play a fundamental role in fighting poverty. The impact of such opportunities on the living conditions of jobseekers and their families is immeasurable. Research has shown that the unemployment rate is higher among single-parent families, low-skilled workers, migrants from outside the EU and people with a disability.
The King Baudouin Foundation wishes to support these vulnerable groups in their search for work by acting as their matchmaker on the labour market. We support innovative initiatives that focus on these specific groups. On top of that, we organise impact studies that aim to identify innovative solutions on the labour market. As a final element, we also facilitate highly specific job training courses for the circular economy and for professions associated with forest management and agriculture.
Employment opportunities in brief:
- We act as a matchmaker for disadvantaged groups.
- We support organisations and set up impact studies that encourage innovation on the labour market.
- We facilitate job training courses in highly specific sectors.
