Medics without Vacation (MWV) is strengthening 5 hospitals in Benin in the departments of Borgou, Collines and Donga.

Each hospital defines in a participatory way its capacity building path to provide quality and satisfaction to its patients. Through the exchange of knowledge with the MWV network, the hospital improves its (para)medical, technical and organisational capacities and plays its role in the health system better.

The health experts in the network are (para)medical and technical professionals from Beninese and Belgian civil society, other hospitals and partner organisations such as the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Belgium.

The capacity building will increase the skills for diagnosis, treatment and follow-up of diseases but also improve hygiene, waste management, maintenance of biomedical equipment, hospital management and referral and counter-referral of patients.
