RestART Beirut (Fund)
Support the renovation, conservation and promotion of the Lebanese cultural heritage.
What is it about?
RestART Beirut is a Fund for the safeguard of art and collections in Beirut, Lebanon. Its flagship project: the renovation of the Sursock Palace’s collections and its transformation into a centre for culture, education and artistic dissemination.
The 4th of August 2020 Port of Beirut explosion in the heart of its historic neighbourhood took many innocent lives, left thousands of people in a precarious situation and damaged Beirut’s precious architectural heritage. The RestART Beirut Fund has been created with the aim of reviving and harnessing the socio-economic benefits of Lebanon’s cultural heritage, by supporting the rehabilitation of Beirut’s collections.
