We aim to apply novel single-cell sequencing and histone modification profiling technologies to map distinct subpopulations of cells within the cartilage and characterize their individual identities. This information is essential for us to understand how cells change their molecular program and follow specific trajectories when osteoarthritis develops. The project is proposed to obtain quality data to build on and be competitive in larger national and international calls.
