Ernest du Bois (Fund)
Support for promising engineering students as well as for projects combatting water poverty.
What is it about?
The Ernest du Bois Fund is active and provides support in 3 areas.
The Fund supports engineering students following the Boost program of the King Baudouin Foundation. Boost invests in the training and personal development of young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to give them more equal opportunities.
The Fund also awards a fellowship through the Belgian American Educational Foundation to a young academic who wants to complete his or her education in the United States and whose project meets the needs of Belgian industry, primarily in the water or food industry. The Fund chooses its fellow from the selection of young people made by BAEF following its annual call for applications.
Finally, the Fund also focuses on the fight against water poverty in Belgium and follows in this the Platform against Energy and Water Poverty coordinated by the Foundation.
