EU staff Fund for a Fair and Sustainable Future
Support organisations in EU countries whose projects combine the protection of socially/economically vulnerable people with environmental issues.
What is it about?
The EU staff COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund was set up in April 2020 by EU Staff for Climate, in cooperation with King Baudouin Foundation, to respond to the Covid crisis and help the people of Europe to cope with the emergency.
After two years, as the COVID crisis seems to be receding, the mission of the fund has evolved in the direction of funding a fair and sustainable recovery, based on our conviction that the health and wellbeing of people is inextricably linked to the health of our planet.
The fund aims to support projects pursuing two key objectives at the same time:
1. enabling people in vulnerable positions to satisfy their basic needs and ensuring the fulfilment of their human, social and economic rights; and
2. helping protect and restore the environment by promoting the adoption of environmentally sustainable practices in social activities and the development of environment-positive actions.
