Join Forces (Fund)
Supports the convergence, coordination and consolidation of non-profit players engaged in a systemic impact approach on the same theme or in the same territory.
What is it about?
In a context of increased competition between causes and NGOs, financial difficulties, lack of critical size among impact players, and reduced public funding, JOIN FORCES is committed, in line with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal n°17 on partnerships, to specifically and massively support:
- Structuring associative players: those who federate other organizations around them to multiply their impact.
- The development and scaling-up of collectives, alliances and coalitions of associations: particularly those working on the same theme or in the same area.
- Consolidation of the non-profit sector: through mergers, takeovers and transfers of associations.
JOIN FORCES and its sourcing partners select these impact projects by targeting players whose governance, management and teams contribute to creating a powerful and lasting systemic impact.
JOIN FORCES does not work through calls for projects or applications, but solely through co-optation and direct approach. Its three flagship programs are
- “Bigleap” (1.5m euros over 5 years) to support collectives or systematic players already set up to accelerate their development and impact.
- “Seednergy” (150k euros over 5 years) will enable us to detect less mature initiatives, which will be supported on a more modest scale (but still on a multi-year basis and not earmarked).
- The “Goodwill” program focuses on providing support and incentives for the governance and management of associations that enable mergers, acquisitions, divestments, takeovers and transfers.
