Inclusive transition
Ensure fair participation in climate campaigns, promote inclusive dialogue and support circular economy solutions for a climate-neutral society.
Everyone needs to do their bit and share responsibility for tackling the climate crisis. That's exactly why local projects in which citizens themselves take the lead are so essential. This includes initiatives that reduce energy consumption or projects that make green energy feasible and affordable, including for people in vulnerable communities. Each and every one of these projects is a great example that has the power to inspire others. For that reason, we support projects of this kind across Europe. We also put them on the map, so that we can learn from one another beyond our borders.
The circular economy serves as another important lever in tackling the climate crisis. The OECD reports that half of greenhouse gas emissions originates from the extraction of primary materials such as ore, crude oil or coal. Through the development of a circular economy geared toward sustainability for people and the environment, we can significantly reduce this share.
In our own country, we strive to create a more inclusive labour market via the circular economy. In an international context, we encourage dialogue between the Global South and North. That way, we can evolve toward an economy that has less of a harmful impact on the economy, all while offering social justice for every human being.
